William Hunter (1718-1783), physician and anatomist:  purchased by Hunter for £0.12.0 at the Ratcliffe sale according to the annotated BL copy of the Ratcliffe sale catalogue (shelfmark 822.d.6).
University of Glasgow:  Hunterian bequest 1807;  Hunterian Museum bookplate on front pastedown, with former shelfmark “Af.10.42”.
Binding: England, quarter tan morocco, marbled sides, by Douglas Cockerell & Son, Jan. 1955;  replacing an 18th-century quarter sheep binding, marbled paper sides (original black leather title labels mounted on new front pastedown);  binder’s note  tipped onto rear pastedown.   Size:  200 x 143 mm.
Leaf size: 193 x 136 mm.
Annotations: On leaf 1/1r the title “de sfera”;  zodiac and planet names added to the woodcut on leaf 1/2v;  very occasional marginal annotations in an early hand.
