Annotations: Marginal annotations in a 16th-century hand on 1/2v and 1/3r of vol. I;  pointing hand and marginal annotation “hic deficit multu[m]” at the beginning of Joshua: 5 on 12/1v (f. 105v) of vol. I;  early signatures throughout;  catch-words supplied at right-angles to the text on final verso of each gathering;  19th-century price “£42-” and a code “vx-v v” in pencil on first front flyleaf of vol. I.
Decoration: Initials supplied in red throughout;  guide-letters in brown ink supplied in the margins (more numerous in vol. I);  running headings supplied in red (occasionally in blue) throughout.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaves 1/1, 2/8, 3/1, 29/12, 30/1, 58/8, 65/7-8 (ff. 1, 16, 17, 282, 283, 564, 627, 628).
