William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Stark 15 Aug. 1857 according to Euing’s acquisitions inventory (University of Glasgow Library, MS Euing 49, item 162).
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: Scotland, 19th-century blind-tooled panelled goatskin;  marbled endpapers;  binder’s ticket on verso of front free endpaper “Bound by Carss & Coy. Glasgow”;  early manuscript titles in black ink on fore-edge and lower edge.   Size:  415 x 287 mm.
Leaf size: 402 x 270 mm.
Annotations: 16th-century marginal annotations (more frequent in the early gatherings and often extracting keywords);  occasional underlining, paragraph marks and “nota” marks;  manuscript keyword headings given in a later hand in top outer corner of recto leaves in a few sections e.g. “Usuris” and “Priuilegijs” in gatherings 19 and 20;  manuscript foliation “1”-“22” (1/2-4/1), “1”-“161” (4/2-20/10).
Decoration: A few sections have initials supplied in brown ink e.g. in gatherings 15 and 16.
Imperfections: Wanting the first and final blank leaves.
