Binding: Early 16th-century blind-stamped calf over bevelled wooden boards, each cover decorated with a blind-stamped panel surrounded on four sides by a legend (all so worn as to be unidentifiable);  single brass clasp (repaired) with catch plate on rear board;  restored by Anthony Gardner, whose binder’s note, July 1965, is on rear free endpaper (boards re-covered in African goatskin with original covers feathered on and with new endpapers and flyleaves).   Size:  141 x 98 mm.
