University of Glasgow:  presented by Colonel Napier in 1919 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown.
Binding: Scotland, 20th-century half brown morocco, brown buckram sides;  oval gilt stamp “Glasgow College Library” on spine;  marbled endpapers;  earlier red-edging of leaves retained.   Size:  211 x 162 mm.
Leaf size: 207 x 150 mm.
Annotations: Very occasional single word marginal annotations, underlining and “nota” marks in an early hand.
Decoration: Principal initials supplied in red and blue with reserved white, smaller initials in red or blue;  capitals washed throughout in faded yellow;  occasional paragraph marks supplied in red.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaf 2a1 and leaf hh4.
