Booking information

Organisational Development courses are free to employees of the University of Glasgow.  Individuals with honorary and associate status do not have access to the online booking system, however may be able to access courses on a case by case basis.  Please email org-dev@glasgow.ac.uk if you wish to discuss further.

Subject to availability, staff of the University's Validated Partners can access courses/events provided by the University's Senate Office, Organisational Development, Learning and Teaching Centre and IT Services.  

How to book our open courses

  • Login to the HR Self Service Portal
  • Select the Learning and Development option from the menu on the left hand side and search by course name or category
  • On booking your line manager will be prompted to approve (or reject) your request.  To check the current status of your booking select ‘View All Courses’ in your Portal

Our training facilities

Most of our courses are run at Tay House (Level 6), 300 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4LH but occasionally we do run courses on the Main Campus.  Please check your joining instructions for the training venue. 

On arrival at Tay House visitors must report and sign in at the front security desk where they will be issued a visitors badge. Please ensure that you have your University of Glasgow staff card (or some other form of photographic ID) with you.

Additional needs and requirements 

Please let us know if you have any specific requirements e.g. printed material in larger font or assistance in entering/leaving the building. Please email org-dev@glasgow.ac.uk indicating which course you are booked on, the date of the course and your specific requirements.  

Cancellation charges

If you are unable to attend a course that you have booked, please cancel via HR Self Service Portal. There is a £100 charge for half day courses and a £200 charge for a full day course to schools/divisions for cancellation within five working days of an event or for non-attendance.
