Making A New Booking
For members of staff and SRC affiliated student societies:
Requests for conference bookings, bookings from external parties or events open to the general public should be directed to Conferences and Events in the first instance.
Students wishing to book space for dissertation/project work should approach a supervising member of academic or administrative staff to approve and submit the request on their behalf.
Please try to give at least 48 hours notice for your room requests. During busy periods last minute requests may not be seen in time.
Please note that the routine allocation of main teaching rooms is handled via your School/RI Timetabler and the Change Request system.
Catering in Central Space
During vacation time only catering is permitted in centrally-managed teaching seminar rooms that have tables and chairs only. Catering is not permitted in lecture theatres, TEAL spaces, small tutorial rooms with tablet chairs, or corridors.
When booking a room for an event that will require catering you will need to book an additional hour either side of your event in order to allow for setting and clearing up of the space and this should be included in the timing of your request.
Responsibility for ensuring that the catering is cleared away at the end of the event lies with the person who has made the booking - this would entail putting any cups, dishes, etc. in the boxes provided by catering and leaving these outside the room for collection, as well as disposing of any rubbish in the appropriate manner.
As has previously been the case, catering in committee rooms is permitted throughout the year. Catering should be booked directly with the University's Catering team once a room has been secured.
Checking Room Availability, Making an Enquiry, or Making an Amendment
Room Availability – staff can view room availability from MyGlasgow for Staff by selecting "Timetables and Room Booking".
Queries about, or amendments to current non-teaching bookings should be sent to Timetabling quoting the event ID from your booking confirmation email.

Room Hire Charges
Events which are directly related to teaching and research will not be charged for the hire of centrally managed space during core teaching hours.
