Administrative / Biographical History

The Lanarkshire Medical Practitioners Union was formed in 1913  to represent the interests of general practitioners of medicine in Lanarkshire, particularly in dealings with the Lanarkshire Collieries Medical Service Association, an occupational scheme that looked after the health of miners and their families. So far as can be ascertained the Union had no links with the British Medical Practitioners Union.
