Administrative / Biographical History

Dr John Erskine Geddes was born to missionary parents in  1900 in Morroco and qualified in medicine in Glasgow in 1923.  He held appointments in TB sanatoria in County Durham, Abergele and Birmingham before becoming the Chief Supervising Tuberculosis Physician for the Western Regional Hospital Board.
He was in post during the Mass Radiography Campaign of March and April 1957.   He retired in 1965 and died in  1978.
