Administrative / Biographical History

Mary Kerr Baker, was born Mary Morton. She trained as a nurse at Stobhill General Hospital in Glasgow from 1935–1939. She qualified SRN, SCM in 1939. In 1977 she gained a BA from the Open University. Mary Baker was a Staff Nurse at Seafield Hospital in Ayr from 1939–1941 and then at Glasgow Public Health Department from 1941–1945. She was a Sister at Kirkcudbright Hospital from 1966–1970. Mary Baker retired to Sanquar.
