Administrative / Biographical History
Lansdowne Clinic was founded in 1936 to provide out-patient treatment for psycho-neurotic patients. The Clinic was incorporated into the National Health Service in 1948 and placed under the Board of Management for Glasgow Royal Mental Hospital. In 1974 it was placed in the Western District of the Greater Glasgow Health Board.
