Administrative / Biographical History

Hozier House, situated at Lanark, opened in  1893 . It served the  Western Infirmary, Glasgow and was the first convalescent home attached to a voluntary hospital in Glasgow. From  1948-1974 , the Board of Management for Glasgow Western Hospitals was responsible for the convelescent home, after which responsibility is likely to have passed to the Lanarkshire Health Board.
