Administrative / Biographical History
The Mental Health Partnership Committee (MHPC) was formally approved by the Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board on 17th April 2007. The formation of the Mental Health Partnership allowed all local adult mental health services to be managed within Community Health (Care) Partnerships.
The Committee was formed of both members of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board and the constituent local councils. The local authorities involved in the partnership were as follows: East Dunbartonshire Council; East Renfrewshire Council; Glasgow City Council; Inverclyde Council; Renfrewshire Council; South Lanarkshire Council; West Dunbartonshire Council
The MHPC primary purpose was to monitor the performance of the mental health care system.
In 2011, the Mental Health Partnership relocated to William Street to become co-located with Glasgow City Community Health Partnership.
