Exceptional Assurance rules updated

On 29 June, the Home Office updated their rules on how to request additional time to stay (known as Exceptional Assurance) for those who intend to leave the UK to return to a country or territory currently on the amber or red list but have not been able to do so. The Home Office information also states that Exceptional Assurance may be available in ‘exceptional cases’ for those who are unable to return to a country or territory on the green list. If this applies to you and if you have a visa or Exceptional Assurance that expires before 30 September 2021, please read through the information under the ‘If you’re in the UK’ heading at this link for detailed instructions on how to apply to request Exceptional Assurance.
