Join Hunterian Director Steph Scholten for this special 20th Anniversary Lecture at the University of Glasgow's Dumfries Campus.

An art historian and museum expert with over 30 years of experience in the cultural sector, Steph brought a wealth of knowledge to The Hunterian when he joined in 2017.

It is a most interesting time for museums, in Scotland and around the world, as they become more and more politicized and are critically questioned on the stories they tell to ever diversifying audiences. In his lecture, Steph will look at how museums have developed from authoritative institutions that present mainstream history to places for social inclusion.

For tickets, book your place here, email dumfries-admin@glasgow.ac.uk or call 01387 702001.

Light refreshments will be served.
