Join Hunterian Associate Amy Shea, PhD Student in Creative Writing, for a free writing workshop which focuses on images of the Dance of Death.

The Gemmell Collection, part of the University of Glasgow's Archives and Special Collections, contains images of the Dance with Death, which feature skeletons leading the living in a dance to their death. Representing people from all walks of life, the images encourage us to explore our thoughts and feelings on mortality.

At this free workshop, participants will have the opportunity to produce creative writing responses to these images. Participants have the option of submitting their creations to a one-time journal showcasing the creative writing responses to this project.

Those who can't participate in person can still respond electronically. Please send your responses to up to two images to Amy via email by 10 March 2019. The images can be viewed on Amy's website.

Book your place via Bookitbee.
