Tickets: £15.00

Between 1766 and 1820, Harvard College assembled an extraordinary collection of portraits and prints; scientific instruments; mineral, plant, animal specimens; and ‘curios’ procured by Harvard graduates on their travels abroad. This collection was displayed in the Philosophy Chamber, dismantled in 1820. Join Hunterian Curator Dr Lola Sanchez-Jauregui as we encounter surviving objects, including portraits by John Singleton Copley, cutting edge tools from the shops of London’s finest instrument makers; and an array of exotic artefacts acquired during the first American circumnavigation.
