The Hunterian recently launched a new membership group – The Hunterian Young Friends.
The launch night involved setting up stations throughout the Hunterian Art Gallery with curators and experts poised to deliver fast and furious talks in five minutes, before groups moved on to the next. The format was reminiscent of speed dating – but with art!
Young professionals, artists, students and graduates joined us as they heard more about French Caricatures, the Scottish Colourists and JRR Tolkein’s connection to our coin collections. The Art Gallery was ringing, thanks to the handy bells employed to make sure everyone knew when to move on to their next station.
After all the speedy dashing around, everyone was due a tasty cupcake and glass(es) of prosecco afterwards.
