Open Studies access programmeOpen Studies Access Programme

More and more adults are going to university to study for a degree; at any one time we have in excess of 8000 adult students (aged 21 or over) studying in some way at the University of Glasgow.

Many will have gained entry by successfully completing one of the Centre for Open Studies’ part-time Access programmes.  Access students come from a range of backgrounds and circumstances; you may have no qualifications at all, have some qualifications but they are out of date (usually more than five years old), or you may just want to try university-style study before applying to university.

Find out more and download the application pack.  You can contact the Access Team on 0141 330 1830 or email openstudies-access@glasgow.ac.uk

The Access Programmes enable you to take two subjects and attend each subject once a week for 23 weeks from September. Satisfactory performance is usually accepted for degrees in Arts, Divinity, Law, Accountancy, Business, Social Sciences, Science and Engineering. Access students may also be accepted for entry to degree-level study in Music, Nursing, Primary Education, Religious & Philosophical Education and Social Work but need to satisfy additional entrance requirements.
