Saviet/Houston Duo

Sarah Saviet - Violin
Joseph Houston - Piano

Brought together by a shared desire to perform challenging, relevant, and wide-ranging programs, the Saviet/Houston Duo presents uncompromising performances that generate immersive and intense listening experiences. They will perform a programme of Debussy, Messiaen, Saunders (1996) and Miller (2013).

The duo formed in 2019 to present a concert on the theme of Nature and Conservation at Radialsystem in Berlin as part of Sasha Waltz’s festival ‘Zuhören.’ Recent performances include George Lewis’ ‘The Mangle of Practice’ at Wigmore Hall, CONSTELLATIONS concert tour with music by Catherine Lamb, Chiyoko Szlavnics, Michaela Catranis, and Saviet/Houston; Feldman’s 80-minute work ‘For John Cage’, performed as part of Zeitströme Festival in Darmstadt. The duo premiered Rebecca Saunders and Enno Poppe’s Taste at 2022 Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik.
