Fiona Dunn

‌Fiona Dunn, the University’s first Gaelic Language Officer, has transformed the way staff and students have engaged with the language, such as with the pioneering Gaelic Residency Scheme for Gaelic-speaking students, Taigh na Gàidhlig.

‘Tha sàr lèirsinn aig Fiona airson leasachadh na Gàidhlig,’ a rèir Rob Ó Maolalaigh, Ollamh na Gàidhlig agus Ceannard Cholaiste nan Ealain. ‘Tha i na fìor thosgaire agus na deagh eisimpleir do Ghàidheil òga agus luchd-ionnsachaidh.’

‘Fiona has exceptional vision and passion for Gaelic language development,’ says Roibeard Ó Maolalaigh, Professor of Gaelic and Head of the College of Arts. ‘She is an inspiring model for young Gaels and learners.’
