Staff Survey 2016 Results
The 2016 Staff Survey results show positive progress across a number of areas.
Our final participation rate was 68%, with 4,228 respondents sharing their views. This was an encouraging increase of 8% compared to our 2014 participation rate.
With 91% of respondents feeling that the University is a good place to work (up another 1% from our 2014 result) we have climbed the ranks in our survey providers ‘Employer of Choice’ benchmarking table, up nine places to 11th of 54 other Higher Education Institutions and up 13 places to 20th out of 356 surveyed organisations (across all sectors).
Of course there are also some areas where we have not improved as much as we would like as well as areas we wish to explore further in terms of delivering future improvements. These will be explored further at local levels to inform the development of tailored action plans.
School/RI/Service level results have been shared with senior management teams across the University and work is already underway to cascade these appropriately, involving a network of local ‘Engagement Leads’ to ensure that this is done in a way that suits local areas.
