BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT - "You can't be what you can't see"

This webinar will give attendees the opportunity to hear from fantastic STEM professionals who have come from a range of STEM related backgrounds and are keen to share their experience, and advice they have learnt on the way as black professionals.

Over the past few months it's been a difficult time with the COVID Pandemic and the tragic deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor which sparked the #BlackLivesMatter protests. We hope to inspire and uplift students, parents and teachers with this event.

Within the BT Tower sits an award winning scheme and team of Apprentices who are STEM Ambassadors. Join them in a recorded webinar where they discuss breaking down misconceptions/ stigma associated with Apprenticeships and answer some questions sent in from pupils and an opportunity to have a live chat with them.

'How much do you earn whilst doing the Apprenticeship and what does this go up to?’
'What’s the difference between all the types of Apprenticeships?'
'What does a day to day look like as an Apprentice?’
'What qualifications do you get on the scheme?'

STEM Learning are excited to partner with Atos STEM Ambassadors on this event - Life After School – The Big Jump, where pupils can hear from current graduates and apprentices from within Atos, a leading company in the IT services industry.

With a mix of experience amongst the graduates and apprentices, their knowledge helps cover all the different routes a young person can venture on to make their way into the working world. Listen to tips and advice on putting together a C.V or personal statement, as well as the honest truth about their experiences leaving school into the wider world.
