19.03.2020: With schools and colleges closing, STEM Learning are offering a range of resources and support for teachers, families and STEM Ambassadors.
STEM Learning update: 19.03.2020
Containment of the COVID-19 coronavirus, and its implications, has created new challenges for everyone wanting to support young people, teachers and schools. We are working hard to develop and roll out a range of materials to support you.
Helping you deliver remote teaching
A new area on the STEM Learning website is being developed to share teaching materials. You can be confident that this is good-quality STEM content, as it has been curated and assessed. It will be updated regularly and if you have resources you think should be included then get in touch!
Online CPD activities
The large range of online CPD is still running, free to use and will be continually extended. Moving to face-to-face provision is being investigated and details on this will be shared on the usual channels as they go live. If you are currently booked onto a face-to-face activity, STEM Learning will be in touch shortly.
There is plenty that a STEM Ambassador is able to do - you can register and train online and through our STEM Ambassadors App. STEM Ambassadors won’t be able to physically go into schools for a while - but we will be working to facilitate as much online STEM Ambassador activity as possible. Any individual STEM Ambassadors or employers that want to work with us on reaching out to schools remotely – please contact your local Ambassador Hub or us at Science Connects directly.
