Glasgow is once again gearing up for Explorathon 2018 when experts from the universities across the city invite you to celebrate European Researchers’ Night. Find out about the cutting edge research that’s taking place on your doorstep, chat to real researchers and even get involved in research during the event!
The Explorathon programme features something for all the family! You’ll find exciting activities in venues including the Riverside Museum, Cineworld IMAX, Glasgow Science Centre and The Forge Shopping Centre on 28 and 29 September.
All activities are free, but some are ticketed, so make sure to book your free ticket today!
Activities include a one off planetarium screening about ‘The Secret World of Space Junk’ with resident researcher Peter McGinty from the University of Strathclyde; an Accessible Explorathon event at the Riverside Museum with lots of fun and sensory science experiments, suitable for all abilities; and don’t miss the night-time Explorathon Extravaganza at the Riverside Museum from 6-10pm on Friday 28th of September where you can test if you’re a super face and voice recogniser, discover underground robotics inspired by badgers and delve into the world of virtual reality, plus much more!
