Glasgow Science Festival's Science SundayConnecting schools to the world of science, technology, engineering and maths
Science Connects is responsible for the co-ordination and management of the STEM Ambassador Programme in the West of Scotland, inspiring young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. From August 1st 2016, STEM Learning Ltd will be coordinating and delivering this and the STEM Clubs programme, with STEM Learning playing a supporting role.
Science Connects can:
- Help to identify STEM opportunities, appropriate for each school's needs, to inspire pupils
- Put schools and organisations together to develop Engagement and Enrichment activities
- Share best practice and help teachers to achieve Curriculum for Excellence outcomes
- Provide STEM Ambassadors to enthuse pupils
Science Connects is based at the University of Glasgow and offers an impartial STEM Advice Service to schools, promoting opportunities from organisations such as the Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Chemistry, IET and the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Case Study: Careers Talks in the Primary Classroom

I'm a Scientist Dates Released
I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here returns 11th- 22nd June. This funded, online STEM activity connects school students with scientists. Students can ASK anything they like across the 2 weeks, they take part in a live CHAT with scientists and VOTE for who they want to win.
