Capacity Strengthening/Building

A strong academic sector is a pre-requisite for any country to be able to develop its own intellectual resources, promote innovation and knowledge and optimise its capacity for social and economic development.  The University of Glasgow is involved in a range of capacity building activities such as the development of research skills and competencies, research projects, PhD, Master and Bachelor education and institutional/administrative development.  These projects lead to equal and mutually rewarding partnerships and can provide access to international networks and expertise, expand education and research activities in partner institutions, enhance global and developmental perspectives, and provide institutional, personal and career development opportunities.
