'S ann an Glaschu a tha an cruinneachadh as motha de luchd-labhairt na Gàidhlig ann an Alba taobh a-muigh nan Eilean Siar. A bharrachd air seo tha am baile na dhachaigh dhan Sgoil Ghàidhlig as motha san dùthaich agus  do mheasgachadh de bhuidhnean an sàs ann an leasachadh na Gàidhlig, na meadhanan Gàidhlig agus foillseachadh is na h-ealain Ghàidhlig.

 The city of Glasgow has the largest concentration of Gaelic speakers in Scotland outwith the Western Isles and is home to the largest Gaelic-medium school in the country as well as many organisations involved in general Gaelic language development, Gaelic media and Gaelic arts and publishing.

In addition, and similar to the University of Glasgow, many Glasgow-based organisations employ Gaelic language specialists to develop Gaelic provision within their operations including Glasgow City Council and Glasgow Life. 

We work closely with these organisations with a view to strengthening and developing Gaelic's presence throughout the city of Glasgow.

Comunn na Gàidhlig

Bidh Comunn na Gàidhlig a' tabhann sheirbheisean agus taic do phròiseactan agus coimhearsnachdan air feadh Alba a tha co-cheangailte ri leasachadh na Gàidhlig san fharsaingeachd.  Tha iad an sàs gu mòr ann an Òigridh & Campaichean, Iomairtean Gàidhlig, Foghlam 's Pàrantan agus gu leòr eile. Tha oifis aca ann an Glaschu aig An Leanag ann am Partaig. 

Comunn na Gàidhlig (CnaG) is a social enterprise which provides Gaelic services throughout Scotland. CnaG is involved in and supports a variety of projects related to Gaelic-development including; Young people and Events, Community Initiatives, Education & Parents, Funding and many other areas. They have an office in Glasgow as part of An Leanag in Partick. 

Comhairle nan Leabhraichean | Gaelic Books Council

Am prìomh bhuidheann a tha a’ cur taic ri sgrìobhadairean agus ri foillsichearan Gàidhlig na h-Alba, agus a tha ag àrdachadh ìomhaigh agus ruigsinneachd leabhraichean Gàidhlig ann an Alba agus gu h-eadar-nàiseanta. Tha bùth Chomhairle nan Leabhraichean stèidhichte ann am Partaig aig An Leanag. 

The Gaelic Books Council is the lead organisation with responsibility for supporting Scottish Gaelic authors and publishers, and for raising the profile and reach of Scottish Gaelic books in Scotland and internationally. The Gaelic Books Council shop is based in Partick and is part of An Leanag. 

An Lòchran

Tha An Lòchran ag amas air na h-ealain Ghàidhlig a chomharrachadh agus a cultar fhosgladh a-mach dhan mhòr-shluagh. Bidh An Lòchran a’ cur air dòigh fìor mheasgachadh de thachartasan Gàidhlig tron bhliadhna a tha stèidhichte air na h-ealain Ghàidhlig nam measg: Gael ’s le Chèile agus tachartasan aig Fèis Taobh an Iar Ghlaschu.

An Lòchran is a Gaelic arts organisation that aims to promote Gaelic culture and make it accessible to all. An Lòchran organise a wide range of Gaelic arts events annually including: Gael ’s le Chèile and Gaelic events as part of Glasgow’s West End Festival.  

Glaschu Beò | Glasgow Life

 Bidh Glaschu Beò a’ feuchainn ri cultar agus spòrs ann an Glaschu a bhrosnachadh agus a’ feuchainn ri cothroman dhan choimhearsnachd a dhol an sàs ann an tachartasan cultarail agus spòrsail. Mar phàirt de seo, bidh iad a’ tabhainn clasaichean Gàidhlig agus ag obair a dh’ionnsaigh ro-innleachd airson na h-ealain Ghàidhlig.

Glasgow Life aims to promote culture and sport across the city of Glasgow and to create opportunities for the community to engage with events and opportunities. As part of this, Glasgow Life offer a range of Gaelic language classes and are working towards achieving the aims and objectives set out in their Gaelic Arts Strategy. 

Iomairt Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu | Glasgow Gaelic Initiative

’S e com-pàirteachas leasachaidh a th’ ann an Iomairt Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu air a bheil buill bho bhuidhnean Gàidhlig agus riochdairean bhon choimhearsnachd. Tha e a’ toirt cumhachd don choimhearsnachd airson leasachadh na Gàidhlig le taic ’s stiùireadh bho Chomunn na Gàidhlig.

Iomairt Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu (Glasgow Gaelic Initiative) is a community partnership with membership from Gaelic-related organisations and indiciduals interested in the development of Gaelic in Glasgow. It aims to provide the community the opportunity to work together and to develop Gaelic in accordance with the needs of the community. 

Ceòl 's Craic

Air a chur air bhonn ann an 2004, ’s e prògram de na nithean as fheàrr ann an cultar co-aimsireil Gàidhlig a th’ ann an Ceòl ’s Craic a bhios a’ dol fad na bliadhna. Mar as trice thèid tachartasan Ceòl is Craic a chumail sa CCA air Sràid Sauchiehall, Glaschu. 

Ceòl 's Craic  is a year round programme which showcases and celebrates the best in contemporary Gaelic music and culture. The majority of Ceòl is Craic events take place in the CCA on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
