Celebrating 70 Years of the GU Club of Aberdeen
The 70th anniversary of the Glasgow University Club of Aberdeen was celebrated on Tuesday 17th December 2019. The evening was hosted by Councillor Barney Crockett, The Lord Provost, and Members of the Aberdeen City Council, and took place in the Town & County Hall, Town House, Aberdeen.
The University of Glasgow’s Vice Principal, Frank Coton, also attended, and a special thanks was given to Douglas Cuisine Douglas Cusine (LLB 1969), Club President, and Evelyn Dobson (MA 1967), Club Secretary for all their volunteer work that they have done to support the Club and its alumni members. At the Civic Reception, an archive of materials was on display, including a programme from the annual dinner dating back to 1935.
