Alumna wins prestigious humanitarian award

Dr Elizabeth Frost (MBChB 1961) has been awarded the Nicholas M Greene Global Humanitarian Award from the American Society of Anesthesiologists. This most recent award follows her Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Neuroscience in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC).

Dr Frost has been acknowledged throughout her career for her exceptional research and academic contributions, her work with refugees and especially for her international education initiatives. She has trained 400 anaesthesiologists from 65 different countries and helped them to implement these training programmes back in their own countries. Dr Frost is passionate about anaesthesiology being accessible and consistently offered across the globe and works tirelessly to see this implemented. She has also successfully encouraged peers and colleagues to donate equipment to support this work in developing countries.
