Glasgow Science Festival run a variety of projects throughout the year including the main festival in June. To enable us to deliver these projects we recruit a team of reliable and motivated volunteers who can get involved in many different aspects; from demonstrating science activities at our family days and community events, welcoming guests to evening events and helping behind the scenes - generally making sure our events run smoothly! We offer training opportunities for the volunteers in advance of the festival and 'on-the-job' training to ensure that they get the most from the experience.
We keep our applications open all year round and contact potential volunteers as opportunities arise. For insurance purposes, our volunteers must be current University of Glasgow staff and students aged 18+.
