Glasgow Science Centre: Our World, Our Impact

Glasgow Science Centre is excited to play a key role in the most significant climate conference of our time, COP26, in Glasgow, November 2021. Over the last year, we have produced a series of resources, discussions, videos, and challenges focusing on climate change and our role in creating a greener, healthier and fairer future. Get involved with a selection of videos from Our World, Our Impact to explore food waste, biodiversity and citizen science.

Scraps: Rachna Dheer
Find out how to show some love to your leftovers. Join Glasgow Science Centre and Rachna Dheer, owner and head chef of Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, for an episode of Scraps, where we showcase fun, quick and simple methods to help reduce food waste at home. Find new ways to save stale bread as Rachna shows how to cook Veg Peel Bhajias & Bread Pakora with Spiced Ketchup.

Animals with Jobs
Animals don’t just sit around all day, they have important jobs to do! Discover some similarities between exotic and native Scottish animals and learn how these animals help keep their ecosystems healthy. Find out about a common threat they all face and explore how you can connect with nature wherever you live. From Glasgow Science Centre and Mhairi Duncan from the University of Glasgow.

Get creative in the kitchen or share your nature stories with us using #OurWorldOurImpact

The Our World, Our Impact programme is delivered with support from the Scottish Government. To see more resources, head to the Glasgow Science Centre website
