Gordon Dutton is a very well known figure in the field of visual science. As a paediatric ophthalmologist, he has been very involved in patient treatments, especially children with profound visual impairment (CVI). He is Patron and Advisor of the CVI Society and an international authority on the subject of cerebral visual impairments. He has conducted very important research in this area in the UK and with colleagues in other countries, most recently in India.
