Climate Law and Governance Day 2021 builds on a series of special events during the UNFCCC climate conferences since the 2005 Climate Conference in Montreal, and it aims to mobilize the international law and governance community to help implement the UNFCCC and more recently, the Paris Agreement in the context of the global Sustainable Development Goals. Since its founding, the event has successfully brought together hundreds of jurists, legal researchers, IGO officers, parliamentarians, national delegates, legal professionals, students, and academics working on legal issues surrounding climate change.
