Introducing Commercial Director, A.G. Barr, Jonathan Kemp …
Jonathan joined the Board of AG Barr plc in 2003 having started his career in "FMCG - Fast Moving Consumer Goods" at Procter & Gamble some 12 years earlier. Prior to this he studied Economics at the University of Liverpool, served in the Royal Navy Reserve, and spent a year at the House of Commons as a Research Assistant.
He leads the team at Barr Soft Drinks that are responsible for the customer management, commercial management, innovation and marketing of brands such as Rubicon, Barr, Strathmore and of course IRN-BRU - and is responsible as a board member for the governance and strategic direction of the overall business. He describes his day job as "long term brand and long term people building" - driving growth in both the business and the organisation - and the best job in Scotland!
Jonathan also serves on a voluntary basis as the chair of Glagsow Riderz - Scotland's largest youth cycling club and as Non-Executive Director of Scottish Cricket.
