On Thursday 13th of February the Majorcan documentary 'Overbooking' (2018) will be screened at McCance Building Strathclyde as part of the 1st Debate Contest between students of Spanish at the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde.

The film (in Spanish and Catalan, with English subtitles) reflects on the effects of mass tourism on the island of Majorca, where tourism has become a controversial topic in the last few years due to its environmental and socio-cultural impact.

The screening will be preceded by a competitive debate in Spanish between students of Glasgow and Strathclyde on the theme of tourism and gentrification in Spain and Europe.
