Henry Marsh is a poet well-known for his collections focusing on key figures and moments in Scottish history, including Mary Queen of Scots, John Knox and the Reformation. His new book, Under Winter Skies: The Last Journey of the Great Marquis focuses on the latter part of the life of the Marquis of Montrose. The new collection of poems by Alan Riach, Professor of Scottish Literature at Glasgow University, is entitled The Winter Book so it seemed appropriate to bring Henry and Alan together to deliver some winter illuminations with music performed by the brilliant Miguda String Quartet. Come and enjoy the pleasures of poetry and music, enhanced by location and season.
