The contents of this web-site are intended to promote knowledge and appreciation of the distinctive monuments that remain from the medieval kingdom of Scotland.
The images are scanned at low resolution to facilitate rapid opening and scanning of the site; most can be enlarged.
The text and images may be downloaded for the purposes of private study, but may not be published in this form.
Higher resolutions of most images are available through the Department of History of Art; they may not be published without written permission, though the Department will endeavour to make them freely available to the church and other authorities represented on the site for charitable purposes.

The Department offers on-line course teaching based upon this site, currently at Level 2 of the Undergraduate MA, but with further options being developed.
