Social Events‌

Support Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow by organising your own Happy Cafe event, pub quiz or Glitter Ball.

Our fundraising ambassadors are fundraisers who have first-hand experience in organising the event of their choice. They can support you with practical advice, tips and contacts.

Hilda de Groot, our Community Fundraiser, is also on hand for anything you need in the run up to your event.

We often hear how supportive friends and family are when someone decides to organise a social event. Why not try it and see how much you can raise?

School Events- The Pebble Dash

This event allows classes to come to the University of Glasgow, and do a dash around the East Quadrangle carrying a pebble, followed by a Treasure Hunt and other games.

Concept and locations can be adapted to your requirements, and the Pebble Dash can also be held at your own school. All participants receive a sticker, balloon and pebble.

The Pebble Dash lends itself well to nurseries and P1-P2 classes. We can include a short presentation about science and research, and support the curriculum in other ways.

Please get in touch with Hilda de Groot for more information. Hilda.deGroot@glasgow.ac.uk
