In today's competitive employment marketplace students need to plan their personal and professional development carefully to maximise their chances of career satisfaction post-graduation. Dickon has over 10 years experience working to support the personal and professional development of higher education students and provides training and support through bespoke lectures and workshops to students throughout the year.

Dickon also coordinates the Graduate Skills Programme - the College's employability programme for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students. At postgraduate research level Dickon coordinates the Researcher Development Programme.

Jenny offers advice and support to international undergraduate students on a range of academic and English language issues.
She works with students from partnership programmes, such as Glasgow International College, to help them make the transition to level 2 of the MA Social Sciences programme. She offers one-to-one support with issues such as assignment writing and runs workshops on academic skills, including time management, critical reading and exam skills.

John's primary role is to lead the College within the diverse area of Technology-enhanced Learning and Teaching (TELT). This includes delivering on strategic interests such as; designing and delivering MOOCs at Glasgow and producing the fully online and blended courses as part of our BOLD (Blended and Online Developments) initiatives. 

John coordinates a team of student interns which assist in a variety of projects including disseminating good practice via the Colleges TELT newsletter along with chairing the Colleges TELT committee. 

John regularly delivers staff training on the use of educational technologies and pedagogic course design enhancements along with providing guidance on funding applications. John has been involved in several funded  projects as well as personally securing funding from the internal LTDF (Learning and Teaching Development Fund) and Chancellors fund to deliver successful projects and pilots. 

John is a Certified Member of ALT (Association of Learning Technology  -CMALT) along with being a CMALT assessor. John is currently completing his MSc in Online and Digital Education.

Gayle supports the College's international postgraduates with their academic and English language skills.

She runs Developing your academic writing, a series of courses on key areas such as assignment writing, critical analysis, using source materials effectively and more. Classes are subject-specific and are held throughout the academic year for taught postgraduates in the College. Students are also welcome to email Gayle or to drop in during her office hour.
