The aim of the event was to develop the ideas associated with the theme through an interactive, participatory process with the attendees to help shape the overall priorities and activities of the theme, as well as highlighting how you can get involved with the theme and how the theme can help showcase and provide support for your work.

The Justice, Insecurity & Fair Decision Making IRT launch event took place on Thursday the 10th of February and we would like to thank all who attended and participated in our first event. The aim of the event was to develop the ideas associated with the theme through an interactive, participatory process with the attendees to help shape the overall priorities and activities of the theme, as well as highlighting how you can get involved with the theme and how the theme can help showcase and provide support for your work.

We were keen to hear about how our attendees research contributes to the common purpose of proactively developing strategies to promote fairness, equity and social cohesion at all levels locally, nationally and internationally, as we anticipate the intensifying dynamics of justice, fairness and security facing communities worldwide.

Throughout the event, all of our attendees were invited to share their research and ideas for the theme through our Jamboard, answering questions such as: a) How does your current work relate to the theme? and b) How do your future research plans fit with the theme? We will be leaving the Jamboard up for a few more weeks, and if you are interested in our theme or were unable to attend our event, we would warmly encourage you to look through or contribute to our excellent range of responses.

We also highlighted three main ways you can get involved with the theme and how the theme can support you:
