CAS and Graduate Route information for Tier 4/Student visa holders

What is a CAS?

Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) will provide you with 30 of the 40 points awarded for your Tier 4 visa application.

For new students applying for a Student visa

Once you accept an unconditional offer, the Admissions Team will issue you a CAS around three months prior to the start of your study. If you accept an unconditional offer within three months of the start of your study, a CAS will be issued within three working days of your unconditional offer being accepted.

CAS details are sent by email and the 14 digit CAS reference number issued to you is required to be submitted as part of your Tier 4 visa extension application.

For current students extending Tier 4/Student visa

For CAS extensions to Tier 4/Student visas, the Graduate School will approve and confirm your study details with the Admissions Team who issue the CAS.

CAS details are sent by email and the 14 digit CAS reference number issued to you is required to be submitted as part of your Tier 4 visa extension application.
