Strategic Infrastructure

Since its inception the College, in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and industry, has secured over £100 million pounds of funding to establish key facilities to support strategic priorities aligned with research strengths. These investments have established an infrastructure to realise the College’s ambition to accelerate interdisciplinary research and translate results into biomedical outcomes that provide widespread improvements in health and wellbeing.

These specialist facilities are developing resources, workflows and processes to drive translational research and enable enhanced working through partnerships and can be utilised by academics, clinicians and industry. Academics and clinicians are benefitting by increased engagement with industry and opportunities for translational research and commercial partners benefit from access to world leading academic researchers, facilities and end-user environments to enable product testing and commercial development.
