TRI Workshops, Events and Training
Through MRC, BBSRC and Wellcome funding and coordinated through the TRI and MVLS Innovation, Engagement and Enterprise Teams, we are investing in more workshops and training for early career researchers through to senior research staff.
Recipients of awards (such as Wellcome Translational Partnership Awards, MRC and BBSRC Impact Accelerator Awards (IAA)) are encouraged to attend any relevant training programmes, but applications/attendance from all researchers are welcome.

WAPG Commercialisation Workshops

The workshops, delivered by Pioneer Group, are suitable for anyone wishing to learn more about commercialisation and best practice tools and techniques to explore your own health or life science start-up. Each session will focus on:
- Introduction to Lean Start-up
- Business Model Innovation
- Telling the Story to Investors/Funders

Clinical Drop-in Sessions
Through the Wellcome Trust Funding, the Translational Research Initiative (TRI) are running a translational research regulatory support scheme, aimed to provide interested researchers with personalised regulatory support from expert consultants. This initiative provides applicants with the opportunity to attend a 1-1 session with therapeutics and clinical device regulatory experts, who can provide tailored guidance and support on the regulatory requirements of clinical translational projects.
These sessions run on a monthly basis, please look at our Newsletter for more information on the dates of the following session.

Legal Advice and Support
The Translational Research Initiative and Contracts Team offer support and advice on Non-Disclosure Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements, as well as Intellectual Property & Commercialisation.
