Business Engagement, Commercialisation and Licensing

The Translational Research Initiative (TRI) and Research & Innovation Services (RIS), support researchers and engage with potential industry collaborators, enabling collaborative opportunities and commercial licensing of innovations created across the college and university.

The University of Glasgow has a growing portfolio of spin-out companies, licence deals, clinical trials and industry collaborations. Licensing agreements allow businesses to gain access to cutting-edge healthcare discoveries and technologies with the potential for transforming these into new products and services. In turn, researchers could potentially build collaborations with industrial or academic customers, further enhancing the potential of their projects.

We are currently building a database of these opportunities, please see below (this may take a few more seconds to load). It is not yet a comprehensive list; for more information on the innovative research undertaken at the college, please contact mvls-innovation@glasgow.ac.uk.

For researchers wishing to disclose their inventions and receive support from the TRI and RIS, please contact the IP and Commercialisation Team and ask to submit an Invention Disclosure Form.
