What to be part of something big?

Glasgow Science Centre (GSC) is inviting researchers to contribute digital content for their fouth online festival - Curious About: the human body

The festival will launch on 22 February 2022 with “Live” online sessions from 9 - 11 March 2022 for schools and families. Previous festivals have welcomed over 10,000 visitors.

Festival Themes: They are interested in events around the broad themes taken from the BodyWorks exhibition at GSC and the Curriculum for Excellence.

  • Nervous system
  • Respiratory and Cardiovascular systems
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Digestive
  • The Human Body is amazing
  • Diversity and abilities are vast
  • Internal and external influences affect our bodies (diet, exercise, genetics etc)

 What kind of content works?  All activity content must be suitable for online audiences

  • Short videos or presentations about your research project 
  • Lived experience/inspirational stories
  • Imagery that showcases your work 
  • Effect of climate change on the human body
  • Medical technology in action
  • Games, puzzles or activities
  • Careers advice/inspiration - Short written feature, eg “meet the scientist” (name and role, about your research, what inspired you, a fun fact and a picture of you doing your job) 

 Audiences

  • School Children P4-S3  (8yrs  - 15yrs) 
  • Families – All Ages
