Funded Projects

The Wellcome ISSF awards (2011-2021) have allowed, and continue to support, a variety of funding options for researchers in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences.  Interdisciplinary projects have been particularly welcomed, exploiting capabilities across the University of Glasgow to answer key biomedical questions.

Catalysts

The strategic purpose of the Catalyst Fund is to help to advance or kick-start early-stage omics research initiatives and to generate preliminary data that will enhance the quality and competitiveness of research proposals for external funding. Catalyst grants have been split into two categories Innovation and Early-Career Researcher (ECR). The Innovation Catalyst Fund focuses on the development of new tools and/or methods for omics and analysis capabilities with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary research.  The ECR call is for early-career researchers that have not held significant external funding, who are initiating new and exciting projects in an effort to launch their independent career.
