MVLS Impact in 60 Seconds Competition 2018 Winners
Following the overwhelming success of previous competition, we again challenged our early career researchers to explain their research in a 60 second film that could be understood by a non-scientific audience. And they delivered!
The MVLS Impact in 60 Seconds 2018 competition entries showed creativity, ingenuity and originality.
The competition results were announced at ‘Collaboration for Innovation’ Industry Day on 5th June 2018. The winners were:
- Emily May Armstrong from the Institute of Molecular, Cell & Systems Biology was the winner of the Best Individual Entry with her film “Getting to the Root of the Matter”.
- Team Tobin from the Institute of Molecular, Cell & Systems Biology was the winner of the Best Team Entry with their entry “Drug Discovery for Alzheimer's disease”.
- David Blane from the Institute of Health & Wellbeing was the runner up with his film entry “Improving Access to Weight Management in Primary Care”.
