Glasgow Molecular Pathology Node Symposium and Industry & Innovation Day 2019

The Node Symposium offered an exciting programme of speakers, posters and exhibitors from contributors at the forefront of diagnostics and Precision Medicine. It also included an update on the progress and achievements of the Node since its inception, and highlighted several examples from the current Node diagnostic pipelines.

At Industry & Innovation Day, featured insightful keynote presentations from senior figures, including Professor Fiona Watt, MRC, Dr Ian Campbell, Innovate UK, Professor Warwick Anderson, Human Frontier Science Programme, Ms Claire Wallace, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Dr Ken Sutherland, Canon Medical.

This event focused on the existing relationships between academia, industry and the NHS. It also delivered fresh insights and informative sector-wide discussion around the UK Government's Industrial Strategy, and funding opportunities presented by the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF).

The College has a strong desire to continue to collaborate with industry and the event was an excellent opportunity to identify potential opportunities for future engagement.
