School of Life Sciences MSci Conference Day
The School of Life Sciences held their annual MSci Conference Day on Wednesday 10th October 2018, which celebrates the success of some of the brightest life sciences students and provides the opportunity for them to showcase their work placement experience.
Professor Iain Johnstone, Professor of Biomedical Sciences within the School of Life Sciences, gave special thanks to everyone who participated this year. He further commented: “I think the format of mixing up the students so that markers hear about placements from animal conservation through to the pharmaceutical industry works excellently. Seeing the breadth of what our students do is great. This day is certainly a highlight of my working year”.
Professor Maureen Bain, the MVLS Dean for Learning & Teaching, attended the poster presentation to award prizes for the two best posters, which were presented to Sol Fernandez, a microbiology student, and Nicole Hamre, a zoology student.
